And all great products go through the process of evolution. And that’s what Apple fanboys are saying after the disappointing “no iPhone5” event last week, that the iPhone4s is an evolutionary step closer to the 5. Have a look (especially at Siri) and you be the judge.
Speaking of evolution or the lack of it, RIM is struggling with its little berry. The last few days, most of my BlackBerry loving friends experienced service outages. What’s worse is the timing – since it was just a few days after RIM slashed prices on its disappointing Playbook.
Now if that wasn’t enough… I got an email from Kik last night. Kik offers a competing service to BlackBerry’s messenger – and the app was “kicked out” of the AppWorld last year on claims of patent infringement by RIM.

So I was surprised to see Kik back on the BlackBerry. After a little digging around I saw that Kik has developed the app completely on Java – thus bypassing the need to go through BlackBerry AppWorld. Whoa! Pretty ingenious, since it makes the app less bloated!
And with all this going on, what’s Mike Lazaridis left to do… but apologize.
